The Breeders
"Our dogs are our hobby " is a phrase which you can read very often, and of course we could also name our dogs our hobby ... However, when one considers how we live with them, this designation is the purest understatement.
Our dogs live with us as an inherant part of our family, of course our whole free time is reserved for them and they are our constant companions in all everyday situations. With the arrival of our first Rhodesian Ridgeback bitch Lubaya we have fallen in love with an unique breed and it was very soon sure that this was only the beginning.
We are immensely proud that we now have found "our way into breeding" with our second bitch Zazu and that we can make our contribution to that this fascinating race remains how it is.
The ultimate ambition for us as breeders is to keep the Rhodesian Ridgeback in its origin and to breed characteristical Ridgebacks of medium size and red wheaten in color, they should be powerful and brawny but also agile, fast and elegant. Our main criterias in selecting our breeding dogs are health, character and a balanced nature, because only a puppy with a strong and balanced character has all requirements to become an ideal family member.
We have the highest demands on us and our dogs and so of course we comply with the strict guidelines of the VDH/FCI and we breed in the german kennel club E.L.S.A. |

igugu lethu puppies
IGUGU LETHU puppies live together with us in our house the wohle nine weeks until they move to their new families. They are fully supported by us 24 hours a day and are integrated in our family life- so we can be sure that it is missing the little lion hunters of nothing and that they are well marked and familiarized with all noises of the everyday life. Our large garden is available to them as an adventure playground and not only numerous toys but also our nephews will make sure that the small IGUGU LETHU's will never get bored.
With the completion of the 9th Week of life and after they have been checked by the breeding commission of club E.L.S.A. our puppies can move to their new loving families - of course they are at this time veterinary examined, vaccinated, wormed several times and also chipped. |

What do we expect from the future IGUGU LETHU puppy parents?
If you are looking for a new family member, you have searched for informations about the breed, you have thought about whether a Rhodesian Ridgeback will fit into your daily life and if you are willing to share your life with your new friend for the next 10 to 12 or more years. In all these questions you are ahead of us, because you already know the answers - do not be surprised if we will provide you with exactly these and similar questions in our first phone call.
Our demands? The main requirement is that your puppy will become a full member of the family - that is the basis for a really happy dog-human relationship. Its not important for us, if you want to do agility, mantrailing or any other type of dogsport with your IGUGU LETHU puppy or if you have ambitions for showing. What counts for us is that you want to live an active life with your dog.
