IGUGU LETHU puppies live together with us in our house the wohle nine weeks until they move to their new families. They are fully supported by us -24 hours a day- and are integrated in our family life. So we can be sure, that the little lion hunters have all they need the whole day and that they are well marked and familiarized with all noises of the everyday life.

As soon as possible we start to train the puppies in bringing their pee and poo where it belongs to ;-) ON THE GRASS! Also inside of our house we prefer to use real grass instead of newspapers or pellets.

Our large garden is their playground where numerous toys and many adventures make sure that the small IGUGU LETHU's will never get bored ;-)

In addition to mother´s milk our puppies will be fed with high quality dog food. On their menue is a varied diet because we want them to learn many different things like yogurt, cottage cheese, honey, bananas, rice, noodles and sometimes liver or rumen-here they can learn in their first few weeks quite a lot!

Mommy Zazu and the rest of the pack will be around the puppies all day - this is very important for the socialisation of the puppies, they will be teached by the adults and they will help them exploring the big world.

Of course they will be socialized with other dogs, children of all ages, strange people, many different noises and they will learn to drive in a car together with the whole pack.

With the completion of the 9th Week of life and after they have been checked by the breeding commission of club E.L.S.A. our puppies can move to their new loving families - of course they are at this time veterinary examined, vaccinated, wormed several times and also microchipped.

What do we expect from the future IGUGU LETHU puppy parents?

If you are looking for a new family member, you have searched for informations about the breed, you have thought about whether a Rhodesian Ridgeback will fit into your daily life and if you are willing to share your life with your new friend for the next 10 to 12 or more years. In all these questions you are ahead of us, because you already know the answers - do not be surprised if we will provide you with exactly these and similar questions in our first phone call.

Our demands? The main requirement is that your puppy will become a full member of the family - that is the basis for a really happy dog-human relationship. Its not important for us, if you want to do agility, mantrailing, coursing or any other type of dogsport with your IGUGU LETHU puppy or if you have ambitions for showing. What counts for us is that you want to live an active life with your dog.
