Words can not express how unutterable proud we are that we can hereby announce the sire to our upcoming B-litter in spring 2012:
It is famous SA Ch. USAKOSE AIR OF SUCCESS OF GONDWANA aka Mister Brown, who is coming overseas for an 18-month-showtour through Europe. Since many years we have our eyes on this striking livernose boy from South Africa and we have always followed his development. Now we have the incredible luck that we will be able to use him as the stud dog for our next litter, because during his tour through Europe he will reside in the Netherlands at kennel Yaw Adyuba Rhodesian Ridgebacks with Marten and his family.
Mister Brown was bred by Sharron Taylor, USAKOSE Rhodesian Ridgebacks in Australia and Cheryl Jacobs, Gondwana Rhodesian Ridgebacks, imported him to South Africa as a puppy.
Mister Brown is well known for his legendary lovely temperament, that he has passed on to his offspring as well. This is the most desirable attribute a stud dog should have, because first of all we want to have a great companion and a beloved familymember - the appearance is the second very important decision criterion and of course in this point Mister Brown is perfect as well :-)
Mister Brown´s show career is unique, on more than 100 shows he was awardet with Best of Breed and there will be many more wins to follow for sure!
This guy has a tremendous presence, he posseses an athlethic body with a marvelous movement and lots of drive from the rear. He has a masculine head with a lovely expression that he has passed on to many of his offspring.

Zazu is the foundationbitch of our kennel and was the proud mommy of our first litter in Mai 2010. She raised her 13 puppies affectionate and caring and she loved to take care of her babies all day long until the day when they had to leave - maternal with body and soul. We are so much looking forward to see her in this role again this winter and we are sure, that she will raise up our "Brilliants" as affictionate as our "Angelridges".
Zazu is a very elegant, feminine and expressive type of bitch, which satisfied the judges in the ring many times by her powerful and harmonious movement. She is a bitch with strong bones and although she is athletic with always good trained muscles she has a slim body. She has a very amenable character, untypical for the breed she often falls in love with strange people at first sight, always with a wagging tail and a cute smirk in her face . She really loves to show herself on shows, this you can see in her results which are always excellent. Some of her siblings do the same good work in the ring and are regularly successful presented.
Zazu is very eager to work and learn and it is easy to motivate her. She accompanies us through all the everyday situations absolutely sovereign, whether it is in the office, in restaurants or hotels. At home she loves to smooch with us or with her pack - she lives harmonious together with Lubaya and her daughter Nayeli. Summing up Zazu is a lovely young lady - at home she is calm, friendly and affectionate with children, loves to hang around in the sun or next to the fireplace...outside she ist powerful and athletic - just as a Rhodesian Ridgeback should be.
Both her appearance and her character traits are exactly what we as a Ridgeback breeder could hope for: powerful, muscular, agile and elegant, highly intelligent, calm, and absolutely smooth with children of all ages. In short - a real lion hunter who accompanies us confidently through every situation of daily life. |

Zazu and Mr. Brown are a perfect couple and they are very homogeneous. From this combination we expect primarily wonderful companions and sovereign familydogs, who will be sound in mind just like their parents are. The puppies will hopefully show many of their parent´s amenities, so that we hope to see some of them in Europe´s showrings in future! Can we expect livernose puppies from this combination?! Nature will answer this question not yet ;-) But we hope so, because Zazu´s dad carries the livernose gene and her brother sired a litter with livernose babies as well - so let´s cross our fingers folks ;-) We are very pleased that we have found such a perfect fitting sire for our next litter with Zazu and we hope to find many of their amenities in her offsprings.

What do we expect from the future IGUGU LETHU puppy parents?
If you are looking for a new family member, you have searched for informations about the breed, you have thought about whether a Rhodesian Ridgeback will fit into your daily life and if you are willing to share your life with your new friend for the next 10 to 12 or more years. In all these questions you are ahead of us, because you already know the answers - do not be surprised if we will provide you with exactly these and similar questions in our first phone call.
Our demands? The main requirement is that your puppy will become a full member of the family - that is the basis for a really happy dog-human relationship. Its not important for us, if you want to do agility, mantrailing, coursing or any other type of dogsport with your IGUGU LETHU puppy or if you have ambitions for showing. What counts for us is that you want to live an active life with your dog.
